Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Construction Accounts Payable Specialist with a focus on subcontractor accounts. This position is based in California and offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction accounts payable for subcontractors or possess strong staff skills with general ledger experience and a solid understanding of debits and credits, specifically in subcontract accounts payable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable processes for subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Handle general ledger tasks, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records related to construction projects and subcontractor transactions.
  • Support the finance team with additional duties as required, ensuring seamless operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction accounts payable, specifically for subcontractors, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger operations, debits, and credits.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Benefits

Competitive compensation ranging from $28.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
